Comedy Gig Coming: Darkness and Light – Fri 16 Nov

By on November 9, 2018

Darkness and Light is back for an epic, one night only special at the beautiful Capital Theatre.

Once again MCd by creator and producer, Cath Styles, this year’s show’s line-up is amazing, and features…

Nick Cody .. . fresh from a sold out season at Melbourne International Comedy Festival , the face of Carlton Dry, Nick Cody is currently appearing in his first movie, ‘The Merger’, and just might be the happiest man in comedy!

‘The Aspie Hour’ … directed by Fiona Scott-Norman, Sophie Smyth and Ryan Smedley also smashed it at this year’s comedy festival . Honest, hilarious, and unapologetic, Sophie and Ryan explore their experiences with Asperger’s Syndrome through their shared love – musical theatre!

Rhys Nicholson… As well as selling out comedy festivals internationally and at home, Rhys, well known for his red hair, impeccable dress sense, and razor sharp wit , has been seen on numerous Australian TV shows, and has just finished filming his comedy special for the BBC. No-one embraces dark humour like Rhys!

And now with the beautiful sounds of Steph Bitter! Local musician Steph Bitter will be opening the show with her version of one of Liam Thorpe’s original soings, as a tribute to Liam, a much loved Bendigo musician and friiend.

Real life funny with a really big heart, this year’s extra special show is a fundraiser for the ‘One Starfish’ project, which aims to raise enough money to bring a swimming program to the children of the ‘Little Angels’ Needy Children and Orphans program in Kabale, Uganda.

So grab your mates, and get your tickets at The Capital, or via, to see this beautiful show for a beautiful cause.

“An incredible show. Highly recommended.” The Funny Tonne
