Last night, Eaglehawk mother and home cook Sharpay Smyth served up a delicious serving of air from her trusty air fryer.
Smyth, who has always been known for her experimental approach to cooking, stumbled upon the recipe for air while trying to create a low-calorie alternative to deep-fried foods.
According to Sharpay, the key to making a delicious serving of air is first to preheat the air fryer to a high temperature, then let the air fry for a few minutes until it is warm.
“I was shocked at how well it turned out,” said Sharpay. “The air had a nice, light texture and was flavorful. I think it’s a great alternative to deep-fried foods for people trying to watch their weight.”
Sharpay also noted that the air was deficient in calories, making it an excellent option for those on a diet.
“Hubbie lost 10 kilos on an all-air fryer, air diet,” Sharpay told The Bendigo Standard.
The dish was a hit among her family and friends, who praised its unique taste and texture. “It was like nothing I’ve ever tasted before.”
“I don’t know where I would be without my air fryer.”
