Local man Claude has been named Bendigo’s oldest Eshay.
“Claude was there when the original mall was built and there again in the redevelopment in the late naughties,” City of Greater Bendigo’s Bob Squash said. “He actually designed the mall. We regret nothing”.
The Bendigo council hosted a small award ceremony in the mall this morning but Claude was unavailable to accept his prize which included a Nike bumbag and speed dealer sunglasses.
According to Urban Dictionary, Eshay’s are usually white skinny males who like to think they are ” Roadmen” or “Gangsters”. They usually walk around in polo shirts or puffer jackets, baggy shorts or tracksuit pants, Nike TNs or another type of air force shoe and usually wear brands such as Nautica, Ralph Lauren, Nike, Tommy Hilfiger, Adidas etc. They are usually poor and waste their Centrelink payment on weed or pingas.
