Schools Back! ‘Parenties’ Set To Descend On Bendigo

As many as thousands of parents and guardians from all over Victoria are expected to descend on Bendigo for ‘Parenties’ this week. The event celebrates kids going back to school.

The Mum and Dad version of Schoolies ends 6 weeks of misery for both parents and kids.

Authorities are determined not to let the fun turn ugly through narcotics. Police have warned they will be out in force and specifically looking for Red Cordial, Wiz Fizz and copies of Bluey.

Police have also cautioned parents to keep an eye on what they upload to social media as their kids may see them having too much fun without them.

“My kid’s are at school. Let the party begin,” one mum told The Bendigo Standard from Star Bar.

“The last 6 weeks have been hell.” said another parent.

Parents planning to take part in Parenties celebrations are being warned to know their limits and practice safe sex.

Parenties is on from 9am-3pm until next Friday as parents have to do the drop-off and pick up.
