Bendigo Toe Tickler released on parole

The notorious Toe Tickler was released today on parole.

Part of the conditions of parole is to wear 10 small electronic ankle bracelets on his fingers.

The Toe Tickler terrorised Bendigo in the late ’80s & early ’90s. Over the course of 5 years, he snuck into the bedrooms and tickled, fondled and kissed peoples toes while they slept.

Fully grown adult Garry Butch has admitted to being too scared to leave any of his limbs dangling outside the bedcovers at night. “I’d heard rumours about the Toe Tickler, but when it happened to me, it wasn’t so funny any more,” Mr Butch said.

In the early ’90s, the police department set up a special investigations unit: “The Toe Tickler Task Force”. Officers used sophisticated infrared night vision surveillance equipment to catch the man.

Meanwhile, police say there is at least one immediate, easy way for residents to protect themselves: Lock your house and wear a onesie or footy socks.

“Murderers are the worst. At least kidney harvesters put a value on life” Mr Butch said.
