Busker Ready To Revive Coles Busking Scene For The Third Time

in Bendigo News

Local guitarist Bobby “Fat Fingers” Jenkins is excited as a pig in a blanket to start busking again after another lockdown is lifted tonight.

“I’ve been busking outside of Coles in the CBD for 22 years so this is like an encore. Mr Jenkins said. “It’s my favourite spot. There is a guy that plays the harmonica and another guy that does acoustic guitar and folk music. Everyone seems to love his cover of Oasis’ Wonderwall except some religious guy who demanded he only played Creed or Christian contemporary.”

A spokesperson for the Bendigo Coles store said “We’re absolutely rapped the buskers are coming back. They’re great for business. The customers have missed them. We will be turning off our in-store Gold FM ambience so customers can enjoy it together.”
