City To Install Musical Toilets In CBD

City of Greater Bendigo has announced it will install new musical toilets in the CBD. The $700,000 state of the art musical commodes will replace the ageing toilets originally installed during the gold rush.

Covers recorded by Bendigo’s own Clockwork Orange will serenade patrons as they drop the kids off at the pool.

Project manager Vince Mitchum said, “Our toilets are smart enough to identify what you had for dinner last night. Patrons will love being serenaded with songs including ‘Ring of Fire’ by Johnny Cash, ‘Let It Go’ from Frozen and ‘Red Red Wine’ by UB40.”

Other features include LED lights inside the bowl, a seat warmer and Siri.

The upgrade is due for completion by the end of the year.

Mayor Cr Jennifer Alden announced Bendigo’s own Bill Barber will perform at the Grand Opening.
