Bendigonanians are rugging-up as the temperature plunges.

“I got a long sleeve shirt out of the cupboard,” said Kyle Bile, 23, from Kangaroo Flat.

The plummeting temperature has caught many of the long weekend party goers by surprise.

“I was wearing this tiny, tiny, tiny skirt, when normally I would only wear a tiny, tiny skirt,” said Beth Meth, 19, of Jackass Flat.

Beanies, shoes that cover all of the foot, and socks are being used for the first time in yonks.

“It’s such a shock I’m stuck with all of these bags of ice when really what I need now is a bag of woolly jumpers,” said Mabel Cable, 43, of Huntly.
