in Bendigo News, Sport

Daryl Braithwaite has been announced as this years Bendigo Football League Grand Final entertainment. It has been revealed exclusively to The Bendigo Standard, during The Horses a dozen Pegasus’ will be released into the sky at the QEO.

The horse-winged creatures have replaced all birds including doves and pigeons after pressure from the RSPCA. This has now been reflected in all sporting and social events.

In the AFL in Round 18 against North Melbourne, Collingwood’s Scott Pendlebury bounced a ball on a pigeon. It was Pete The Pigeon’s first game as a Collingwood runner. He was to be assessed for concussion but flew away before doctors could see him.

Bendigo Council believe the Pegasus’ will help eliminate the bat problem in Rosland Park.

The Grand Final entertainment will also be supported by local band Ergasia and Bill Barber.
