Sandra Duncan from Eaglehawk has been announced as the first person to purchase a ticket for the new Bendigo to Sydney Qantas flight.

She celebrated by getting a tattoo of Amelia Earhart. When asked by The Bendigo Standard why not a tattoo of The Wright Brothers she admitted to not knowing who they were.

“I asked for a tattoo of Chesley ‘Sully’ Sullenberger but the drawing looked liked Forrest Gump with a moustache”.

The first flight is due to arrive in Bendigo on March 30th.
