A fart on a local Bendigo bus has caused an evacuation shortly after 4pm today.
The number 55 bus headed to Kangaroo Flat was evacuated after passengers complained of an overwhelming egg smell, light nausea and dry-retching.
Emergency services were called to the scene. Specially trained sniffer dogs were able to locate the origin of the smell down to the exact seat.
A culprit was soon identified as they were the first to deny it. The rest of the passengers reminded the perpetrator that ‘She who smelt it, dealt it’.
The Kangaroo Flat Fire Brigade were on hand with toilet spray and 100 cans of Lynx Africa to defeat the smell. Passengers completed their journey but complained about smelling like a teenage boys bedroom.
Hahhha what a ripper, well done to the lady high five!
What is “dry reaching”?, did you mean “dry reaching”? As a newspaper, don’t you have some kind of vested interest in using correct English?
Thanks for letting us know. Fixing it now.
What is “dry reaching”?, did you mean “dry reaching”?
Looks like the spelling police were having an off day as well.
If “dry reaching” is wrong it is usual to state what you think the correct wording is when you say “did you mean (dry-retching)?, not repeat the mistake.
James, if even for humour… So many people don’t get taught what to eat for their guts, and their metabolism…
I guess we can thank ‘mike’ Elliott for a door of opportunity to throw out some help to people who’s guts seem to attack them…
Cheers ‘mike’…
Zol,
up in Vancouver, Canada
Eaten…
Probably a previous dose of some form of concentrated sugars… then on top of that or even added onto the “main food” after, some more sugars…
but the main culprit is mixing starches/grains plus a heavy protein/meat combo of foods with little or no probiotics in their “gut”…
the crossed foods are sometimes impossible to digest in a balanced way and the first thing happens… the Sulphur compounds in the form of Sulphur dioxide / and similar foul stink that Sulphur is infamous for…
one of the fastest ways to change your guts is to consume a probiotic per day to put back the intestinal flora&fauna to digest our foods in our small intestine…
Oh, and to the ‘greens’ comment, it actualltnwould help with lots of enzyme food like mango and others like that…
As someone who suffers seriously from food intollerance and wind I can only feel the most sincere embarrasment and distress for this person. Control of your bowel isn’t always something that is a given. I know from personal experience how hard it is to hold wind in when you feel like you could blow up. This person is now living with the shame of being seen as crass.
Oh dear! Embarrassing enough to “fart” in public, but to be identified more embarrassing. Glad I was not on board.
What had she eaten? Lots of greens probably.
