Planning is well underway for next years Bendigo Easter Festival which will be celebrating its 150th year.
Accommodation is slowly filling up. One family from Maiden Gully is planning to be there with the Portendorfer family announcing to their friends they’re already booked.
“We saw a Facebook page saying to book accommodation now so we did,” Meryl Portendorfer said.
“We wanted to get in early before all the good places are gone. We live 20 mins from the CBD and want to be close to the action. We just don’t wanna drive home every night” said John Portendorfer, Father of 6.
“The closest place we could get was out at Epsom,” he said. “At least we get to enjoy the beauty and wonder of the completed road works.”
The Bendigo Easter Fair Society promised next years Easter Fair will be the biggest and best Fair yet. It will feature Centi Loong Pede, a 150-metre ‘dragon centipede’ and a 10-hour parade.
There will be no shortage of rides and nostalgia as the Easter Fair will feature all the stuff you missed when you were a kid when all the good crap was in the mall and Hargreaves Street.
