Moama Man Drives To Dubbo Dan Murphy’s After Being Denied Entry To Echuca

A Moama man has been denied entry into Victoria today under new border controls.

Desperate Moama man Callum McCallum was trying to get to the Echuca Dan Murphy’s but was stopped at the Victoria/NSW border this morning. “I was told that going into Vic to grab some Melbourne long necks isn’t essential travel. I was only going to be 5 minutes?”

“The lockdown has made me start drinking again and all BWS have left are cruisers.” Mr McCallum said. “You can’t even buy turpentine in Moama because all the good shit is in Echuca.”

After getting turned around, Mr McCallum took a 15-hour round trip to the Dubbo Dan Murphy’s. “My parents are from Dubbo and I know the guy who runs that Dan Murphy’s.”

Mr McCallum wasn’t the only one stopped at the Victorian border.

Georgia Smeck was unable to go shopping at the Echuca Big W and was forced to try elsewhere. “I’m down to my last pair of undies. I’m not driving an hour to Deni just to pick up knickers” Ms Smeck said.

Lockdown is due to ease sometime in 2120.
