Local Legend At Aquatic Centre Performs Belly Flop

A local man became a sports legend last weekend at the Faith Leech Aquatic Centre, thanks to a breathtaking dive he performed that has the whole town talking.

Witnesses say that Mr Kombucha, a pool season ticket holder, climbed to the top of the diving board. After silent contemplation, he leapt off the tall structure and dove into the pool.

“His dive was perfect, like something you’d see in the Olympics,” lifeguard Jesse Donk told The Bendigo Standard. “Jimmy did a reverse 4½ somersault in the pike position, then pancaked a belly flop. I’d give him a 10 out of 10!”

After Mr Kombucha emerged from the lazy river, he was greeted with a hero’s welcome, signing autographs and posing for pictures with pool patrons who witnessed his record-breaking dive. “I’ll be back next week to do it again!” said Mr Kombucha before leaving the facility.
