This a timely reminder for Bendigo locals to be on the lookout after a ‘large crocodile’ was sighted in Bendigo Creek.
Josh Martin was among the locals who spotted the reptile swimming in the creek.
“I was walking my dog at Rosalind Park and spotted something in the water. The blokes behind us said it was about a five-metre-sized croc; I thought it was about eight to ten.”
Jack Lemon from The Greater City Of Bendigo said locals are asked to be croc-wise in these floods.
Authorities recommend not swimming in Bendigo Creek.
Victoria is experiencing record floods, with more rain expected later this week.
