Monster Redfin Spotted At Lake Eppalock

2 January 2019
in News

Swimmers at Lake Eppalock have requested shark nets after sightings of monster redfin.

Locals estimate the giant Redfin are about 3-5 metres long and have terrorised visitors.

Last week a 20-year-old woman was taken to Bendigo Health after being attacked by a monster redfin.

Holiday makers are worried about their safety. Local pirate Captain Bardolf ‘Savage‘ Tattersall said “Arrgh, they’re no fish, they be monsters. How do you think I got this peg leg?”

Local man John Humphries said “It’s a load of carp. We’ve been living here for 50 years and I’ve never seen anything like this.”

Department of Fisheries believe there may be at least a couple of thousand monster redfin in Lake Eppalock. Redfins are known to explode in numbers in cooler months when they lay eggs during winter and spring. Spokesperson for the department said “They maybe big but they’re free spirits. There’s no need for nets.”

President for the We Heart Lake Eppalock Group Jimmy Larue said “The fish are carnivorous. We strongly suggest people wear protective clothing while swimming just incase the giant fish get hungry and decide to have a nibble.”
