Traders Hope ‘Baby Shark’ Song Will Drive The Rest Of Bendigo Away From Mall

Traders in Hargreaves Mall are trying to keep shoppers away from the mall and their businesses.

The loop of “Baby Shark” and “Raining Tacos” is a temporary fix to keep shoppers away from the mall.

“Who needs people?” said one shop owner. “Silence is golden.”

“It’s not like we need an inviting and vibrant mall full of people,” said another owner.

A spokesperson for the mall said, “Other song choices were ‘Daddy Finger’ and ‘Friday’ by Rebecca Black.”

Most of the traders are happy with the mall being a ghost town and with the abuse from Mallrats who have no idea where their school is.

Thelma Groban, a 30-year Myer employee said “20 years ago it was hell, the mall was packed. There were no empty shops. No one had anywhere else to go. It was hell and you couldn’t walk. Customers kept interrupting me every 2 seconds and I couldn’t get anything done.”

“Baby Shark” and “Raining Tacos” will be looped constantly until the end of the year.
