Harcourt Applefest, an annual celebration of all things apple, has taken a bizarre turn as festival-goers expressed an unexpected affinity for the Samsung Galaxy Harvest, a competing festival down the road that has caused quite a stir in the orchard community.
In a press conference, the festival organiser, Bill Macintosh, addressed the shocking revelation while wearing glasses and a black skivvy.
“We’ve put our heart and soul into cultivating the finest apples for the people, and they’re swarming to the Samsung Galaxy Harvest like it’s the next big thing,” said Mr Macintosh, pacing the stage with a clicker in hand.
The Samsung Galaxy Harvest features produce developed by a renegade group of tech-savvy horticulturists. Their fruit boasts a sleek design, vibrant colours, and the promise of a user-friendly taste experience.
“I never thought I’d say this, but the Samsung Galaxy Harvest is a game-changer,” a festival goer told The Bendigo Standard. “The variety of produce is mind-blowing. Their kumquats are doing things to me.” Her hands were stained with juice from the Samsung Galaxy Harvest.
Applefest organisers announced a “festival upgrade” to address the unexpected trend. However, upon closer inspection, it became evident that the so-called upgrade was just a regular apple spray-painted silver.
