Victory Christian College Proposes Name Change After Melbourne Victory Loss

Victory Christian College in Bendigo has proposed a name change following Melbourne Victory’s recent loss. Unable to cope with the soccer team’s defeat, the school’s administration declared that the word “Victory” had lost all meaning.

A teacher told The Bendigo Standard, “We simply cannot associate ourselves with the word ‘victory’ when Melbourne Victory couldn’t secure a win. It’s a matter of integrity and setting a standard for success.”

The proposed name change options include “Not Our Fault Christian College,” “Trying Our Best Christian College,” and “Participation-Ribbon Christian College.” The school will leave it up to the students to vote on the new name, ensuring they have a say in this momentous decision.

In an exclusive interview with The Bendigo Standard, a student expressed their support for the change, saying, “If Melbourne Victory can’t live up to their name, why should we? It’s time to welcome a more realistic title that reflects our schooling, like ‘Schoolie McSchoolFace.'”

The school hopes the rebranding will rejuvenate its spirit and help it distance itself from any association with defeat.
